Cleaning Louboutin Shoes and other Luxury Items

Cleaning Louboutin shoes, maintaining those red bottoms, or any luxury shoes for that matter isn’t as hard as you think. If you’re like me and prefer your pricier items to be in pristine condition then listen up, or read up. I’m going to let you in on the secret weapon I use for cleaning many a luxury shoe, or bag.

Mr. Clean Magic Eraser%Top Fashion Blogger Chiara%Casiraghi Style. Yes, this household staple is the savior of my luxury items. As you can see here I wore my Louboutin’s before getting a sole protector. Personally, I don’t like the thick rubber sole protectors I’ve seen around. It boggles the mind to want to cover a leather sole with a cheap rubber one, but I completely understand the desire of keeping your luxury shoes as close to as new as possible. In that pursuit, I found some very low profile sole protectors on Amazon (link below). I choose them because they are removable.

But first, I had to clean the bottoms! Dampening the magic eraser, using as little water as possible, I rubbed the dirt and black marks off of the shoes.

Voilà pretty much brand new! And now ready for the sole protector’s application. If your Louboutins are way more scratched up you can get try out the “Walk on Red” paint I’ve linked below.

I’ve used Magic Eraser to remove black marks and stains from white leathers and colored bags as well. Get yourself a little bit of this magic and let me know how it works for you!

Thank you for the information. I really love your blog. I rarely wear my Loubou’s and severely scuffing up the bottom is one of the reasons why I don’t. Not saying I am going to go and run a marathon in them now, but your information gives me more comfort in wearing them. THANKS!
